Used wild animals so why should they stop now? In countless countries, such as denmark, belgium, austria or the netherlands, this has long been the case.

I believe it’s cruel and animals should be banned from circuses.

Performances such as the circus should be animal free because using living animals to perform tricks is unethical and secondly, it ensures animal and human safety. In my opinion, the circus with animals should be banned, because it is no longer up to date.

Whilst the animals are being trained, their trainers use bull hooks and electric rods to make them do the tricks right. The circus has so many other entertainment possibilities to offer. Second reason is after the mothers give birth at the circus the babies are just taken away soon after birth. They should also have the right to live their own life.

Using animals is unethical as people are forcing animals to do tricks against their own will. They have to eat, sleep and even go to the toilet in their small cages for the rest of their time. If we can live our own life so why can’t the animals?

As such, they must be literally beaten into submission, using pipes, sticks, clubs, and electric prods, whereupon they reach a permanent state of learned helplessness, not unlike the severely clinically depressed. I think animals should be banned from the circus because they are kept in cramped cages and it is not in the animals nature to do tricks and perform for people. The most important reason why circuses should not be allowed to capture wild animals for entertainment purposes is because the animals are abused.

If such a tradition involves the abuse and occasional death of animals, an alternative should come about. If we would know the truth behind the curtains, i bet we would all cry for a ban. Many animals develop behavioural and/or health problems as a direct result of the captive life that they are forced to lead.

The performance of animals should be totally banned in circus because in circus animals are not treated in a good manner. It is amazing to see all the tricks that the circus trainers can get the animals to do.

Travelling circus life is likely to have a harmful effect on animal welfare as captive animals are unable to socialise, get enough exercise or exhibit natural behaviours. Living conditions are cramped, badly maintained and lack the basic comforts animals need to be happy and healthy. Animals have to suffer just to amuse spectators.
